Congratulations to Katrina Hutchinson of Biomnis Ireland whose poster titled “Vitamin D Receptor TaqI Gene Variant in Exon 9 and ApaI in Intron 8 with uncontrolled paediatric asthma in Ireland” was successfully presented at the conference on “Biodetection & Biosensors 2016” in October 2016 in Magdalene College, Cambridge, UK.

The objective of the study was to examine the association of two VDR genetic variants with uncontrolled asthma in Irish children, and the possibility of using them as clinical biomarkers.
